Travel Tips

I like to travel as much as possible, I have covered three continents, numerous countries, and thousands upon thousands of miles. During these travels I have learned quite a few things, some of these I have learned through tips from other travelers, and in some cases I have learned things the hard way.

Hopefully you will learn something from my top 5 travel tips, whether you are  anovice or an experienced traveler. Some of these tips may seem a little bit obvious, but yu might be surprised how many people simply do not realize that there are many people looking to take advantage of travelers, and tourists.

The first of my top 5 travel tips is probably one that the more experienced travelers know, and that is simply do not look like a tourist. The best way to avoid trouble from pickpockets and theives is to blend in with the locals a little.  Pickpockets especially roam the streets in many major tourist cities looking for wealthy tourists who they can take advantage of. Avoiding looking like a tourist is not always easy in a city which you do not know. But by not flashign around expensive equipment, wearing ‘touristy’ clothes

The second tip does tie in with the first tip a little.  It is important that when you go out and about in any foreign city you keep your valuables in a safe place. Keeping iverything in your pockets leaves you vulnerable to losing a lot if you happen to run in to theives and pickpockets. Most hotels, hostels and capsites provide some form of onsite secure storage if you need it.

The third tip I will give is something you can choose, but for novice travelers, it really is a must.  Plan Ahead.  Later on you may know enough ways to find a bed for the night, but if you are new to traveling, chances are you will not know many of the online communities which can give you a helping hand on the move. Make sure you have somewhere to sleep when you travel. Unless you are willing to spend several nights sleeping out in the open, make sure you plan ahead.

My fourth tip is know what you need to do.  If you are constantly on the move you may only get a day or two, sometimes even just a few hours to see what a city has to offer, Many people use iPhone guided tours when they are on the move, these provide iPhone city tours, combined with GPS tracking and a database of information. Using these iPhone apps is a great way to find the very best of a city in a short space of time!

My fifth and final tip is learn the local language.  You don’t need to learn everything, but make sure you know enough to politely interupt someone and inquire if they know English.  People are much more likely to try and help you if you approach  them in your own language.  It also shows you have taken a real interest in the country you are visiting, and the locals definitely appreciate that!

Big City Travel

Agra is a city in the north Indian state of Uttar Pradesh, Some hundred km from the capital city of New Delhi. Agra has the Taj Mahal one of the mainly prominent buildings and tourist destinations in the world, Agra Fort, Fatehpur Sikri nearby in the city. Agra Cantt is the most important railway station and deception southwest of the Taj and Agra Fort, both of which are a small ride from the station by car, auto or rickshaw. The Taj Mahal is an enormous burial chamber of white marble, built between 1631 and 1648 by order of the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his beloved wife. Taj Mahal means “Crown Palace”; one of the wife’s names was Mumtaz Mahal.

The Taj is one of the most well conserved and architecturally gorgeous tombs in the world, one of the masterpieces of Indian Muslim structural design, and one of the enormous sites of the world’s heritage. Taj is the famous as it is known all over the world, forms the primary objective on the schedule of most travelers coming into India. Forming part of the famous ‘Golden Triangle’ it is placed on the western bank of the Yamuna. The wonderful Taj Mahal which is the pleasure of this city is set around a Charbagh, which is come apart by watercourses – an expression of the Persian approach.

The tombs of Mumtaz Mahal and Shahjahan are located in the basement, while their replicas are placed honestly above in the upper hall. Besides being a remarkable city, Agra has sunglasses of modernity as is characteristic of any Indian city. Today, luxury and modern expediency also exist contiguous to institution – luxury hotels, shopping malls and plazas, wide avenues and a superb choice of venues for recreation, business, sports, pleasure, education and the arts.Tour to Agra city of architectural wonders and see the mesmerizing Taj Mahal. You can see the attractive Taj mahal.Agra city is not only an alleged tourist destination but also a shopper’s ecstasy. It offers breathtakingly fine-looking handcrafted items that are made of pure leather. Agra is also famous for the replicas of Taj Mahal.

Travel a little external Agra and you’ll come to Fatehpur Sikri, a site for monuments that are traditionally as imperative as the Taj Mahal. If you see the monuments at both will you have begun to explore Mughal structural design. Fatehpur Sikri’s tourist attractions include monuments from the times of Akbar the Buland Darwaza and the Dargah of Salim Chishti.

The first time you travel to Agra, the city can be a bit appealing with its noise and big crowds. There are government run and private tourist information centers in great quantities and you should take improvement of them. Most of them offer tour guide services, which is useful if you’re stuck in an Indian city, predominantly if you’re low on knowledge about its head of state attraction.  However, no matter how many times you’ve done Agra and the Taj Mahal, their attraction never fades. If you’re an old Agra hand of course, you’ll be quite at home in this crazy bustling town.

Travel Tips

There are more frequent people travelling these days, whether its domestic or International travellers. Because of that, many hotel offers cheap hotel, company offers cheap phone card or calling card to make calls, online web hosting offer good web hosting rate.

Below is the tips for carrying carry-on luggage and check in luggage that might help to ease and make your travelling goes smoothly during your domestic or International trip.

CHECK FOR MAXIMUM SIZE AND WEIGHT FOR CARRY ON

 • As there are more airlines offer free carry-on luggage, there are increasingly people who do domestic travelling with only carry-on luggage. However, do remember to check for the maximum size and weight for carry-on luggage for your flight.

These days, as airlines and airport keep changing their regulation, it is the best to check the maximum size and weight for your carry-on luggage for your airlines. The maximum weight is usually 7-10kg, with the maximum size of 21xm x 40cm x 54cm or 56cm x 45cm x 25cm per bag. Different airlines operate on different policies. Some airlines also only allow 1 carry-on luggage, despite the weight and size. It would just be a waste of time and money when going to the check in and be told that the hand carry is oversize or overweight.

Do not worry about the small carry-on such as coat, handbag, baby stroller, laptop bag etc, as it can be carried to the cabin and rarely counted as hand-carry. To make your hand-carry luggage easier and more convenient to be carried to your flight, it is good idea to purchase the small rolled luggage or to be more convenient. Purchase the right size carry-on luggage that will just fit nicely under the seat in front of you so that you do not need to squeeze yourself with other to fit into the overhead compartment.

• Items to be packed on Hand / carry-on Luggage

If you do bring check in luggage, it is important to know that items such as cash, keys, credit cards, cameras, computer, jewellery, medicine, and identification card, business paper should not be pack in check in luggage. Fragile and irreplaceable items should not be packed in check in luggage in the case that there is a possibility that the check in back can get stolen, lost or delayed. Bring and pack the important, fragile and irreplaceable item in your carry-on luggage. It is always safer to put in your hand-carry luggage a bit of toiletries too in the case of long delay.

 • List of things that Must not be Carried in Hand Luggage

With recent changes in airline and airport, many of the items that is permitted to be carried in hand luggage is not banned. The items that is not permitted varies from airport in different countries Explosive and illegal drugs are strictly prohibited. Sharp items such as scissors, penknives, nail clipper, screw driver is not permitted on carry-on baggage in most of country in the world, despite the size. Most airport / airlines only allow liquids, gels or aerosols permit with only less than 100 ml. If you are travelling with baby or in prescription medicine and in need of more liquid to be carried on hand luggage, please ask for advice from the airlines days before your travelling.

 • Pack your carry-on Luggage

Neatly In some of the airport, the xray system is quite severe. It is suggested to pack the carry-on luggage neatly in the case that the airport inspector wants to inspect the belongings in the carry-on baggage; Fold the cloth neatly, electronic devices and wires coiled properly, liquids, toiletries put in separate bag. The neat packing carry-on luggage will speed up the xray process as the inspector can have clearer view of the content of the bag and it is easier to put the stuff in if any case the inspector wants to inspect some items.

 • Hints for Checked Baggage

If you have travelled using the travel baggage that you are going to use for your next travel, it is better to remove any previous airline tag to prevent confusion before putting the new airline tag. To easily recognise your checked in baggage, it is better to put identification label/luggage tag given by the airlines in the luggage and if possible, write down also the home address in the case of your baggage is lost. It is more critical to put the airline tag if you travel to different places or in transit to different places Putting the airline luggage tag with numbers or easy identification such as colour tape, ribbon stickers etc will also prevent other traveller to mistakenly take your luggage if in coincidence the baggage looks similar. Check-in luggage should be locked at all time no matter where your travel. Lastly, do make sure that your check in bag are going to the destination of your travelling.
